Celebrities Hunt for 'The Mole' on ABC Could a celebrity actually be a backstabbing liar?
It's a stretch, but ABC is pleased with the way seven stars handled the celebrity edition of the reality game show "The Mole." Stephen Baldwin ("Usual Suspects," "One Good Cop" ), Corbin Bernsen ("L.A. Law," "Major League" ), Kathy Griffin ("Suddenly Susan"), Kim Coles ("Living Single," "In Living Color"), Michael Boatman ("Spin City," "Arli$$"), Erik von Detten ("Dinotopia") and supermodel Frederique are the celebrity competitors, and one sneaky star is The Mole. "The cast is better than we could ever have expected; they played the game as if they had been playing all their lives," says Scott A. Stone, executive producer of the series along with David G. Stanley.
"The actors' ability to 'perform' guilt or innocence adds a new layer of mystery to the challenges," says Andrea Wong, SVP of alternative series and specials for ABC. "We're thrilled to have this great group of stars join 'The Mole.'"
Emmy-Award winning sportscaster Ahmad Rashad hosts the series which will air later this season on ABC. On the special six-episode edition of the show, players must complete a series of challenging physical and mental games to earn money for the pot, which could total up to $250,000. One player working for the producers tries to secretly sabotage the efforts and the others must try to discover the identity of The Mole in order to win the prize. Related Shows
